MCKEE RACHEL 05.jpg

Rachel McKee M.Cl.Sc, S-LP Reg. CASLPO

Rachel has been a high standing, practicing Speech-Language Pathologist for over 10 years. She first became a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) out of a desire to work with, and help people of all ages. She was fascinated with both Linguistics and Psychology, so she completed a Double Major, earning the highest academic average in both majors (Western Ontario).

Once getting into her Masters of Communication Sciences and Disorders to become an SLP, the dream of opening a private practice quickly occupied her mind. It didn’t sit right with her that people in her own community and hometown could not access personalized services quickly and easily. After graduating in 2013, she gained invaluable experience in both private and public settings before opening Clearway Speech in 2016.

Rachel enjoys creating learning activities for her young daughter and making fiber art with a table loom or a punch needle!

Christina Steer, BA, CDA

Christina’s interest in the field of speech and language was sparked by summer jobs working with people with disabilities during highschool and university. After completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, Christina graduated from the Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) program at Georgian College in 2006, and has been working as a CDA ever since.  She has experience working with preschool aged children at Children’s Treatment Centers as well as experience working with school-aged students in a school board setting. Christina is passionate about all areas of preschool and school-aged language, articulation, motor speech, and literacy. Christina has a beginner-level understanding of German and values the opportunity to use this knowledge to support Low German speaking families in sessions.

Christina grew up in Ariss, but has called Guelph home for the past two decades. Christina is a proud mother of 6-year-old twins. She enjoys spending time with her kids, spouse, and visiting the family cottage in Point Clark. Christina is so grateful for the opportunity to support all the wonderful families at Clearway Speech!

Sara graduated with her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences in 2011 from Western University, and completed her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology in 2013, also from Western.

Sara is an experienced SLP who has a passion for early intervention and supporting speech and language development in children with a range of challenges, including social delays associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder, articulation delays, expressive and receptive language difficulties, reading and writing challenges, and motor speech. Sara has ten years of experience working with the paediatric population and thoroughly enjoys seeing children, together with their families, succeed with their speech and language goals, and also have fun together in sessions!

Sara is also a busy mom of four young children. Together with her husband, they love to go camping, go to the Farmer’s Market, and just go on nature walks or to the park. In the winter months you’ll probably find her at the arena watching her kids’ sports and cheering on the Woolwich Wild & Wildcats!
