Services


In-person services are provided in the historic Clock Tower in Elmira, Ontario CA - central to Waterloo-Wellington. Services for all ages include the following areas:

  • pre-literacy and literacy

  • speech sound production (i.e. speech therapy)

  • pre-linguistic communication (i.e. foundation for language)

  • language comprehension and expression

  • social (pragmatic) communication (e.g. social skills)

  • voice & resonance

  • aural (re)habilitation

  • alternative & augmentative communication (AAC)

  • cognitive communication

  • accent modification

  • feeding & swallowing

Rachel McKee received her honors Double Major in Psychology and Linguistics degree at The University of Western Ontario. She was recognized throughout her undergraduate career, receiving various awards and scholarships including two gold medals for achieving the highest academic average in both of her majors. Rachel continued her education with a Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology winning the coveted Ontario Graduate Scholarship. Rachel is interested in all areas of Speech-Language Pathology research, with a special focus on literacy skills (reading & writing).

Rachel was born and raised in Elmira, Ontario. She recognized the need of providing accessible services to the people of Waterloo Region; therefore, she founded the first speech-language clinic in her hometown.  She envisions a world where people are empowered; and she believes that literacy and speech & language skills is the pathway to freedom, opportunity, and ultimate success in life. Rachel is passionate about what she does, and her passion is contagious and evident to all.
